REMIX- THE HEART

Jan 18, 2026    Pastor Bryan Sandella

Welcome to Week 2 of our REMIX series: REMIX THE HEART.

The Christian life isn’t about behavior modification — it’s about heart transformation. In this message, Pastor Bryan Sandella teaches that what we tolerate internally will eventually manifest externally. You can have the right foundation and still live with the wrong motivations. If last week was about what you build on, this week is about what you build from — the heart. Scripture reminds us: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (Proverbs 4:23)

The Bible treats the heart as the command center, not just emotion. Jesus said that words and reactions don’t betray the heart — they reveal it. Many pray, “Lord, change my behavior,” when God is saying, “Let Me rule your heart.” This message walks through Galatians 5, showing that the flesh is loud but the Spirit is consistent. You don’t defeat the flesh by willpower — you defeat it by starving it. Fruit isn’t forced; it’s grown by abiding.

This sermon challenges believers to move from exhaustion to surrender, from effort to intimacy. Gifts may impress people, but fruit sustains relationships. God is after fruit because fruit proves ownership. A renewed heart requires daily yielding, daily crucifixion of the flesh, and daily submission to the Holy Spirit.
